Zane

Zane is a charming little Border Collie mix with a heart full of love. He’s 4 years old and, although he was picked up as a stray, it’s clear he was well cared for — he has the sweetest disposition and absolutely loves to cuddle. Zane follows his foster mom from room to room and will plop into a perfect sit in hopes that a treat might magically appear. He adores everyone he meets and plays well with dogs of all sizes.

Zane is fully house trained and couch trained. He prefers to roam freely rather than stay in a crate, but he will settle into his crate if his foster needs to be gone for a few hours. His true happy place is curled up in a lap on the couch. While he interacts nicely with other dogs and is warming up to the large resident dog, he clearly prefers human attention above all else.

He weighs about 35 pounds and could use a little extra weight. He’s about 19” tall and 23” long, making him a nicely sized small dog. His favorite game for now is chasing a squeaky tennis ball, and he is overall very well-behaved and eager to please.

Zane will soon be ready to bring his gentle, affectionate personality into a forever home where he can be loved as much as he loves back.
