Adopted:   Skippy has found his forever home. We wish him the very best life possible.

Skippy is a loving Border collie that is almost ready for his forever home. Skippy is approximately 4 years old. Skippy came to us with an old injury where he had been hit by a car. His pelvis had been broken but healed on its own. Skippy does have a “skip” in his back leg still when he runs. He is currently finishing up rehab with underwater treadmill therapy to build his muscles back in his back leg especially. He was also very scared of everything.

Skippy has made great strides at his foster home. He will need someone who is patient that will help him with new surroundings. Skippy is still anxious around new surroundings. Storms do make him anxious, but he is not destructive. He just pants and wants to be around his people. The ideal home for Skippy will be one story or few stairs. He will also require a fenced-in yard. He loves to be outside but needs to be safe in his own yard. Skippy has also learned to love a crate but is also happy with just a quiet spot of his own in the house. He loves to give kisses to his person. He does well with other dogs. Skippy would do fine with children over the age of 10 years old also and doesn’t seem to mind cats. Because of his injury, he will only be a companion dog and not an active or sport dog.
