Biography: Shadow is a sweet dog. She is extremely compassionate, stays right by your side, and goes everywhere you go. She typically has a bedtime of 8pm and she does not get up until morning. She listens/obeys basic commands. Loves to be outside, but not usually alone- she wants someone to play with, fetch the ball, or tug a war. Her eating habits are good and loves frozen peas or green beans mixed in her food. The only thing that has been tough to control is her barking and wanting to go after other dogs, but more in a commanding way to be dominant. When Dad adopted her, her name was Mila, but he renamed her Shadow because she would follow him everywhere he went and be at his side.

Does the dog have any history of aggression toward other animals? Yes. She lunges at other dogs and barks, especially on walks. She wants to be dominant and commands attention

Reason for re-homing? My father is 86, and after an accident we have had to place him in assisted living. There is no way at his new place he could control Shadow. I live in an RV with my wife at a campground, and our living arrangements do not suit this type of breed. Shadow was only adopted a couple of months ago; Dad only had her for three weeks prior to his accident. I’ve been taking care of her at his house while we get his home ready to sell. I am in Cornelius, NC, only for one more week, and I will be heading to where I live in Virginia Beach and will take Shadow there until we can find her a new home.
