Adopted:   Sammy has found his forever home. We wish him the very best life possible.

Sammy is as sweet as he is beautiful! Extremely affectionate, he loves people, men in particular. Sammy was a stray and a staff favorite at the shelter. He seems well cared for and we were very surprised no one came looking for him! Though social distancing has restricted our opportunity for interacting with other animals and humans outside the home, he has been lovely with shelter staff, vet staff, and his foster family (including the resident dog). There are no cats or children in the home, but considering his reaction to those we meet on walks, I’d guess not so good with cats and probably okay with kids. Sammy has behaved very well in foster care – quickly learning about leash walks, good house manners, and in general, is a calm, gentle boy. Sammy loves to be near his people and enjoys going for walks, and helping in the garden. He is happy with a couple of good long walks a day and lots of ear rubs and back scratches. He would be happiest with a retired person or couple. His foster mom prefers a fenced yard for him, so he can safely meander about when not on a walk or indoors. If you are looking for someone to love, Sammy’s your guy!
