Ranger

Adopted

Ranger has been adopted!

Ranger is a very sweet boy and loves to snuggle! He came to the rescue as a herding school drop out. Well he for sure is not!! He shows good instinct with sheep and has great eye. He is very shy with new people at first. He does best with females and is trying to learn to trust males. He is very food motivated. He does very well with all the dogs in my home, both big and small. He lets the 12lb Pug push him around. He is crate trained, but still needs to be let out on a schedule. He has not learned to ask to go out. He does well in the fence and does not try to dig out or climb over. He seems to do ok with cats. He shows some interest when they run but does not really give chase. It does seem that he missed some very crucial exposer to the world as a puppy. He will need a home that lets him work things out at his speed. If left unattended for a long time he keeps himself busy by chewing a bone or playing with an empty bowl. He has put a few holes in soft dog beds and pulled the stuffing out of toys. If provided hard chew bones he will keep himself busy with that. I think he could be a great sports dog with the right person. He would do best in a home with only females but is learning that males have yummy treats sometimes!
