CBCR courtesy lists dogs for individual owners, other rescues, and shelters wishing to place their Border Collies or Border Collie-mixes themselves. These dogs are not in the CBCR program. Biography: Onyx is a pure bred who comes from a working line of border collies. I have had him since he was 8 weeks old. He is a super sweet dog who loves to play fetch. He knows basic commands and has a good off leash recall. He has always lived with other dogs and cats but has recently started herding my cats and has gone after them. He is crate trained as he does get separation anxiety when left alone. He needs someone who will be active with him and would do best with a place to run.

Does the dog have any medical issues? No

Does the dog have any history of aggression such as growling, lunging, snapping or biting any adult or child? No

Does the dog have any history of aggression toward other animals? Yes. He had gone after and bit my cats when he has cornered them and they fought back.

Reason for re-homing?  Unfortunately I have decided to re-home him as our life is just not the right fit for him anymore. He needs to go to a home without cats. He needs someone who can spend time exercising him daily and a place to run.
