Nala has been adopted.
Before Nala became a CBCR foster dog, this sweet girl was surrendered to an animal shelter in GA. I imagine someone was not prepared to provide the training and activities that a young dog in the next stage of life beyond the cute puppy stage, really needs. She has so much potential. She is very smart and will be easy to train in the right hands. She is eleven months old and 44 lbs (still growing) and is very fond of belly rubs!
If she could speak English this is what she would say: (she is very enthusiastic)
Hi! My name is Nala. Just in case you don’t know how to pronounce Nala, it is like saying ahhh, when the doctor wants to look at your tonsils. “Nahhhh-la”. I love my name. Call me and I’ll come running (maybe).
I have been teaching my foster mom to give me a treat when I sit or lie down. She is brilliant!
My favorite things in the world are people, food, other dogs, food, car rides, food, belly rubs and food. I haven’t met cats or children at my foster mom’s place but I love other dogs and people!
I really should not chew up my mom’s shoes, steal my mom’s breakfast or jump up to show how much I love my mom. Those things are hard to learn, but we are working on them.
Catching a ball, going through the dog-door, walking up and down the spiral staircase, jumping in the car, hanging out in my comfy crate, especially when I’m sleepy. Those things are easy to learn.
OK! That’s me in a “nut-shell” (which I also like to chew on).
PS: I think it is fascinating to watch people take showers. I always get sprayed with the water, ha ha, so much fun. (I like water, a lot)
