Biography: Moe is a handsome, goofy, lovable guy. He definitely has herding instincts and is able to help me most days with my flock; however, he’s a bit too playful to be left unattended with them. He can coexist with cats however will chase if they run but he has not caused any injury with mine during his time here. He plays great with dogs of all sizes and is eager to please. He often thinks he is the size of a house cat and will attempt to crawl in your lap, then lick your face. Loves to play fetch, and wow does he love sticks. He primarily lives within a large fenced area however spends considerable time outside of the fenced area and does not venture too terribly far outside of our yard. He does like to explore his surroundings but consistently comes when called. We have initiated corrective training with a collar that beeps/vibrates, and he does respond well to this. He does have an independent personality at times but overall is a good dog. He gets along well with children too.
He has a best friend named Chewy, who is a 2-year-old Anatolian Shepherd, and would love to be adopted with him. His owner surrendered him to me in June.
Does the dog have any medical issues? No
Does the dog have any history of aggression such as growling, lunging, snapping, or biting any adult or child? No
Does the dog have any history of aggression toward other animals? Yes. Food aggression; only over treats. Responds to correction quickly. There have been no altercations, bites, or broken skin
Reason for re-homing? I found him at an abandoned shed on the road where I live back at the end of May. My intention was always to get him rehomed; however, life just prolonged that process. His foster here has had an effect on the daily freedom of my flock due to safety reasons, so I hope to find him a farm that is better suited to his needs.
