About Hero:

Hero is a beautiful boy – happy, well behaved, affectionate, and friendly. He was a stray in a rural shelter and was at first believed to be a shy, submissive, low energy 3 year old dog. It was an act (or more likely a survival technique). He is probably no more than three years old and would love to learn to play and go jogging and be an important part of someone’s life. He enjoys his daily walks, is an absolutely fabulous car rider, has excellent house manners, and is undemanding and very grateful for any and all affection. Hero is now neutered, up to date on shots, microchipped. Unfortunately he tested positive for heartworm, so is undergoing treatment which will be finished in mid-August. He will require a month of restricted exercise following his last injection and should then be good as new and ready for a wonderful new life!
