Adopted – Gretchen has found her forever home. We wish her the very best life possible.

Gretchen is a 1 year old black and white border collie that came to CBCR from an owner surrender as they were not able to care for her the way they would have liked to. She is great with other dogs and we are told she has lived with cats in the past, but we are unsure about her interactions with children. She is a typical border collie who is very aware of her surroundings. She may bark at someone new, but once comfortable, she is a fantastic companion. She handles nicely on leash for walks and knows all of her basic commands well. She sleeps quietly in her crate at night and waits patiently to be let out. She is still young, so if she is not exercised she may chew on something she’s not supposed to out of boredom. Gretchen likes to run around the backyard and enjoys her walks, but she also loves to be affectionate and curl up with someone at the end of the day. She likes to keep track of her people and will follow them from room to room. She has a very sweet personality overall.

Gretchen is now up to date on all of her vaccinations and has recently been spayed.
