Foxy
Adopted
Foxy has been adopted!
Adopted: Foxy has found her forever home. We wish her the very best life possible.
Oh, what a beautiful dog! This stunning little lady can become someone’s dog of a lifetime! She’s had some bad luck in her life, but is eager to put that behind her and move on to better things. Just needs a special human to guide her! Foxy is 3 years old, 35 pounds, healthy, heartworm negative, up to date on shots, spayed, house trained, sweet natured and well behaved. She loves leash walks and attention from her favorite people. In her former life, she was chained outdoors and was treated badly. She is wary of men (tries to run and may bark if approached – but has quickly made progress in foster!). She will need some patience and understanding to work through this fear and will do best with a female owner. On walks, she is well behaved and polite when meeting others at a comfortable distance. She has been accepting and gentle with her canine housemate, but is a typical Border Collie and her ‘herdy’ style of interaction may not suit every dog. Foxy needs a patient, gentle, and savvy owner who knows the breed. She is attentive, eager to learn, and intelligent and would probably enjoy learning agility, flyball or herding once she has bonded with her new owner. Foxy will likely have many applicants because she is so beautiful, but we are hoping to find a home that will best meet her needs. Foxy will need a female primary caregiver (a male in the home will need to be gentle and patient), a physical fence, and a home without cats.
