Dax

Adopted – Dax has found his forever home. We wish him the very best life possible.

Dax is a super sweet, cuddly 6-month-old border collie puppy who came to CBCR along with his 7 siblings and mom. He is extremely timid and shy during introductions, but warms up quickly to anyone who shows him love. Sometimes he goes a little overboard with his affection! Dax is great with kids and other dogs and sleeps through the night in his crate. He has not had any accidents in his foster home.

Dax will need someone to patiently and gently work with him on obedience and leash training. He is currently very frightened of the leash and is easily spooked by loud noises and equipment. Once he learns to walk on a leash, we expect Dax to be a great dog for walks, runs, and hikes. His foster home has a cat, but they have not had much opportunity to interact so we can’t say how Dax will behave around them. Dax collects toys in his crate, but has not displayed any strong herding tendencies.

Dax will do well in a home with a fenced-in yard, kids (elementary age or older), and/or another dog to play with.
