Adopted: Casper has found his forever home. We wish him the very best life possible.
Casper is a wonderful and sweet adult dog who was probably misunderstood his entire life. Surrendered to the shelter by one of his multiple homes due to what was reported as “extreme anxiety” his future looked grim. Hardly moving in the kennel he tried to not make contact with anybody. His time at the shelter must have been traumatizing to Casper.It broke all of our hearts. So CBCR stepped in to see if we could possibly give him a little bit of quality of life back.
Who we met was a loving, playful and extremely well behaved dog who showed some nervousness but certainly not to the level that a handler familiar to the breed couldn’t handle. He took to the foster family and their dogs right away and fit right in. He’s crate and house trained and even in thunderstorms doesn’t give any reasons for concerns. We will get to know him better in the upcoming weeks to determine what criteria to look for in his forever home. Because that’s what he deserves. A final home where he can stay without the fear of being abandoned yet again.
