Biography: Brodie was rescued in January of this year after his original owner passed away. He was assumed to be a full blooded border collie due to his exceptional markings. He was friendly with other dogs at the time, but had not had any training whatsoever. After an initial month with the first family, I took him as an addition to my current pack of four, where he has lived since.
His play behaviors did not fit in with the pack, as he was very aggressive in his play. This ended up in a fight with one of the males, which has now grown into a reactivity issue with both of them.
As he settled into his home, it became more obvious that he is probably a border collie-husky mix. His rough play, vocalizations, and difficulties with recall have reinforced this belief. DNA testing will be ordered to confirm.

Brodie is an incredible pup; however, very affectionate, smart, and would be a great addition to a family with young dogs or no other dogs, as he would blossom with a playmate or as the on,y dog in the house. Experience with border collies would be a plus. His husky genetics require a different approach. Brodie is chipped.

Does the dog have any history of aggression toward other animals? Yes. Some reactivity with one male dog. (See above).

Reason for re-homing? Brodie would be best served by being the only dog, or having a young, active dog playmate that would tolerate his energy. His current living situation with four border collies doesn’t meet his needs appropriately.
His reactivity (see above), has only been with one male.
