Adopted:   Bear has found his forever home. We wish him the very best life possible.

Bear is an 8 1/2 Border Collie Mix. He has a very sweet temperament and is kind to strangers and those he knows alike. He is a laid back dog that enjoys being with people. He spends most of the day lounging around and always welcomes petting and cuddles that are offered. He would make a great companion for people who are looking for an older, loving dog. He plays well with other dogs (loves to play and be around our 1 1/2 year old Border Collie). We have seen him around children ages 5 years, 3 years, and 6 months (being held by parent). He was interested in saying hi to them and continued his relaxed manner just laying by our chairs on the floor. He likes to go for walks around the neighborhood and does well on leash. He is not a dog who likes to play fetch but if the ball is thrown in the air, he is excited about catching it. He enjoys walking in the water and can swim if he is excited about a toy being thrown into the water. He would do well in a home with a fence but does well being supervised off leash in the front yard. He requires daily brushing for his undercoat. He is heartworm negative and no other medical concerns at this time. Bear would be a wonderful companion to someone who is looking for a friendly, laid back dog.
