Biography: Meet Apollo! Apollo is a handsome 1-year-old Border Collie mix weighing about 46 pounds, and he’s looking for a family of his own!
Apollo came into rescue as an owner surrender because his previous family reported that he was digging out of their fenced yard. Since coming into foster care, he has done well in a 5-foot chain-link pen with no attempts to escape.
Apollo is a smart, active young dog who enjoys going for walks and learning basic commands. He gets along well with other friendly dogs and recently met two children at the park and did very well. Because he can get excited and likes to jump when greeting people, we think a home with older children would be the best fit.
As a Border Collie mix, Apollo would love a family that will keep his mind and body active and continue working with him on training. He has a sweet personality, lots of potential, and so much love to give.
Apollo is current on his shots and will be neutered as part of his adoption process. Could you be the forever family he’s been waiting for?

Friends of the Stokes Shelter is a no-kill adoption center. We pull animals from the local shelter that are in danger of being euthanized.
