CBCR courtesy lists dogs for individual owners, other rescues, and shelters wishing to place their Border Collies or Border Collie-mixes themselves. These dogs are not in the CBCR program. Biography: Ajax is a healthy and surprisingly energetic senior who still loves to play—especially fetch, which is his favorite thing. He has a gentle, affectionate personality and does well with dogs, cats, and kids.

He’s generally quiet (rarely barks, occasional howling) and settles well at home. He does have some anxiety with thunderstorms or loud noises, but overall is a very sweet, easy companion.

He would do best with someone who can give him regular exercise and attention—he still has plenty of energy and love to give.

Reason for re-homing? We took Ajax in after a family situation, but with another dog in the home and upcoming housing changes, I’m unable to provide the level of care and attention he needs.
